Our Youth Mentorship Program is designed to provide individualized and tailored one-on-one support for youth (12-24 years old) affected by a family member’s involvement in the justice system. Our mentors support our youth by fostering resilience and promoting positive psychological, social, educational, and employment outcomes. Specifically, youth are connected with mentors who use a strengths-based approach to help youth navigate stress, life challenges, and systems, support youth to achieve their goals, and refer youth to additional resources in the community.

To complement the individualized support, youth also have the opportunity to participate in weekly peer support groups in safe community spaces across the Greater Toronto Area, engage in interest-based activities guided by the youth voice, and collaboratively organize projects that help to strengthen the community. We also offer a virtual program to support youth across Canada. Drop-in mentoring and support is also available for young adults at all program sites.
